Daniel M Buckland MD PhD

Daniel M Buckland is an assistant professor at Duke University in the Division of Emergency Medicine and Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, he is the director of the Duke Acute Care Technology Laboratory and an attending physician at the Duke University Hospital. His research focuses on technology development for medical care of human spaceflight participants with near term applications in ground-based emergency and pre-hospital care. He received his PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011 and his MD at Harvard Medical School in 2014. He completed his clinical residency in Emergency Medicine at the George Washington University Hospital in 2018.
