Director Supplier Management BDS Development - Space Systems
Pierce currently leads the procurement and supply chain activities for BDS Development – Space Systems programs and Boeing’s Space Exploration Division. Specific programs include International Space Station, Space Launch System and the Commercial Crew Program (“Starliner”). Additionally, Pierce has responsibility for all the BDS SM contracting activity with Orbital/ATK and Aerojet Rocketdyne. Pierce previously led the Supplier Management organizations for the BDS Mission Systems supplier/commodity teams (General Dynamics, Harris, Thales, Com Dev., and Tesat), Boeing Training Systems & Government Services Division and the Phantom Works Ventures Division. Additionally, Pierce previously supported the Boeing Vice President of Procurement Contracting & Risk Management and Vice President of Supplier Management Global Services & Support in negotiating BDS corporate override agreements and analyzing high risk contractual agreements.
Prior to Boeing Pierce worked in a variety of different legal capacities at the U.S. EPA Regional Counsel Office, Illinois Attorney General, and in private practice. Pierce holds a B.A. from Baylor University, J.D. from Valparaiso University, M.B.A from Saint Louis University, M.S.C.M. from Penn State University and is currently pursuing a L.L.M. from the University of Alabama. Lastly, in addition to his work at the Boeing Company he was an Adjunct Professor at Webster University in the George Walker School of Business.
